Our Story At Eireann Equestrian

Jason and Amanda purchased the property in the Spring of 2024 with the dream of providing their own horses with something unique in the equestrian world; a facility that put the horses needs first while also offering premium facilities for training.

Over the last two years this dream along with our horses True, North, and Waylon have driven every improvement we've made to the property.

From the installation of new footing, grading fields, installing hot water and the new round pen we have been committed to always making the property better for the horses that give us so much. In addition to building our dream property, we have also been building our business "Eireann Equestrian" to share our facility and care of the horses with local like-minded equestrians.

Who Are We?

Amanda grew up outside of Vancouver, British Columbia not far from Thunderbird Show Park. Coming from a non-equestrian family, her path to riding was a little bit different. It started with a summer camp at age eleven that quickly evolved into weekly lessons, half lease and the purchase of her first horse Leo. To be able to afford board, lessons and showing, Amanda began working at the barn she kept Leo at from the age of twelve doing everything from stalls, feeding, show announcing and photography.

After a few years away from riding filled with University and relocating to the United States, Amanda started taking lessons again. So began the slippery slope to purchasing True and North who she now competes in the Hunters and Equitation.

Jason's journey with horses began with when he met Amanda. Dublin born and raised, he had relocated to the Seattle area for work when he and Amanda met. He quickly fell in love with horses and after purchasing the property, found a horse of his own in a Quarter Horse named Waylon.

Our Barn Philosophy

We believe horses deserve to live like horses: outside, moving, and supported by calm, consistent routines.

What is the Meaning of our Name?

Eireann, pronounced AIR-inn, translates directly from Gaelic to "of Ireland". Chosen to represent Jason's Irish heritage, the logo echoes this with a Celtic knot incorporated into the body of the horse.
